This vocal worship album is the last crafted studio album I did. It was recorded in bits and pieces over the course of a decade, but finally finished in 2015. In hindsight, I was exploring various jazz and world musics in a worship context. Email me for music charts (.PDF), Jazz Reed (my daughter) did all the wonderful artwork (check her out here). All songs mixed by Tim Dolbear at Eclectica Studios, except "You Make Me Lie Down".

See credits below after song descriptions:

Let Praises Rise

Fell in love with this song written by an ORU student. Woke up one morning with this (sort-of) Brazilian samba arrangement in my head. Dan McCollam said "you oughta record a song playing all the instruments and make a video" - so that is here.

Played this instrumentally with Ken Mondshine, fell in love. Took Amey's poem on nameless.faceless MySpace post, and mashed them together. Is this smooth jazz? Not sure what to call it...

Turn Your Eyes

This idea started as Harry Connick Jr. does a worship song. Sadly, my vocal is nothing like him, but that was the initial idea. Thanks to Helen Lemmel for writing such a great chorus I had to add another...

A last minute addition, because I fell in love with this song from johnnyswim. Had the opening snare cadence since 1989; wish I knew what style to call this, but I think you can hear Sting and Metheny in this...

I always thought Sting put a bible-inspired song on each of the first 6 or 7 solo albums... The story of Noah, I tried to swing it...
